Linocuts
Exploring the technique of linocut I work in series of ten images – linocut plates. Each series is a sequence of images connected by different means. Motion is a good example ( Series VI – observation of blooming ), the idea ( Series VII – Vincent van Gogh writes a letter on painting a blooming almond tree ), inspiration ( Series X – art of Francis Goya ) or simply the way of cutting the sketch ( Series II – doubling the line around the initial drawing ).
Prints from Series I, II & III – were made on a hand-made, recycled paper and were presented during "I was here" exhibition.
Each and every linocut below is 10 × 15 cm ( 3.9 × 5.9 in )
