Linocuts
Exploring the technique of linocut I work in series of ten images – linocut plates. Each series is a sequence of images connected by an idea.
For example Series VI is an observation of blooming. Series VII is an imaginary letter of Vincent van Gogh stating he is painting a new painting of a blooming almond tree. Series IX is a tribute to the art of Witold Wojtkiewicz and Series X is a tribute to the art of Francis Goya. Series II is a exploration of the technique – achieving the image with double lines. Series XII is a representation of selected arts that are constituted in the history of arts.
Prints from Series I, II & III – were made on a hand-made, recycled paper and were presented during "I was here" exhibition. Each and every linocut below is 10 × 15 cm ( 3.9 × 5.9 in )
