Type Design
Since my very first encounter with the field of type design I was in love. It felt just like a next step, completely unpredictable. It was 2014, the very first semester of my bachelor studies. Martin Majoor, invited by Ewa Satalecka, conducted a five days workshop on the very basics of type design –sketching with a double pencil. In 2016 I completed my type design diploma and graduate at the Polish-Japanese Academy in Warsaw. In 2018 I started my own company – type foundry called Le Laïc: Type Foundry, making the typefaces available for purchase and commercial usage, globally. As it turned out later on, the young Polish type design scene was only starting to emerge.
I am very thankful to everyone that helped me learn type design – Ewa Satalecka, Martin Majoor, Verena Gerlach, Laura Meseguer, Joana Correia, Ann Bessemans, Florian Runge and Tomato Košir.
